Ebor BESS is a 100 MW / 800 MWh battery energy storage system planned near the township of Ebor in northern New South Wales. With the ability to deliver up to eight hours of electricity, it will play a key role in providing reliable, renewable energy for homes and businesses in the region.

The project will store excess solar and wind generation when it is abundant and release it back into the grid when demand is highest. This helps keep the lights on during hot summer evenings, calm winter mornings, or whenever renewable output dips.

Ebor BESS is designed not only to back up clean energy but also to strengthen the local network.

Importantly, the project represents an investment in regional jobs and community resilience. Construction will create employment opportunities in the New England area, and long-term benefits during operations such as annual contributions to a community investment fund, sponsored TAFE courses, university degrees and upgrades to local infrastructure.
