Ebor BESS Development Application and Environmental Impact Statement Now on Public Exhibition
19 June 2026 – Bridge Energy is pleased to announce a major milestone for the Ebor Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Project, with the Development Application (DA) and Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) now formally lodged with the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI) and placed on public exhibition.

The public exhibition period will run until 17 July 2026, during which community members and stakeholders are invited to review the project documentation and make submissions.
The Ebor BESS is a proposed 100 MW / 870 MWh battery energy storage system capable of providing over eight hours of dispatchable energy to the National Electricity Market. Located near Ebor Village in the New England region of New South Wales, the project is being developed by Bridge Energy in partnership with Energy Vault.
The exhibition process is being managed by DPHI through the NSW Planning Portal. All EIS documentation is available to view and download via the project page.
Community members wishing to make a submission can do so through the Planning Portal before the close of the exhibition period:
